Québécois post-punks Talleen have released a new single and video. The song is titled “Economics” and tells “a bleak tale of unfettered capitalism.”
Drummer Alex Crow explains:
We wanted to reflect how our society can sometimes be shrouded in mystery and symbolism, money being the driving force behind the illusion.
The video, directed by We Are Wolves‘ Alex Ortiz, is visually distraught and disturbing, befitting the subject matter and the musical delivery of the song itself.
“Economics” follows up Talleen’s debut album The Black Sea, which was released in 2018. You can check out the new single/video below, and visit their Bandcamp to hear more.
