So, yeah. Matthew Perry, star of Friends, a bunch of other TV shows you vaguely remember if at all, and a few movies, died. H was found unresponsive in his hot tub after a morning of pickle ball. There’s a lot of humor being thrown around about his public battles with addiction, but he did try to use his platform to help others who were in the same boat. There’s that.

Here’s the scoop: TGEFM staff are trying something a bit different for 2023. Instead of separate weekly playlists of what we’ve been listening to, we’re launching a year-long playlist, one that will grow each and every week as we add more songs to it. Our requirements are to first submit one NEW song released within the past month, and then one song released at any time. If those two criteria are satisfied, then we also get to include ONE SONG EACH from any band we may have seen live the past week. We’ll get the playlist updated on/around Sunday of each week.
