Florida governor Ron DeSantis, who is running to be the Republican nominee for President (and is accused of wearing lifts in his cowboy boots) and California governor Gavin Newsom (who isn’t running for president, but 100% is making the moves) debated in a non-consequential debate. At one point DeSantis held up a graphic show reported locations of human feces in San Francisco. It was peak American politics and I can’t stop laughing.

Here’s the scoop: TGEFM staff are trying something a bit different for 2023. Instead of separate weekly playlists of what we’ve been listening to, we’re launching a year-long playlist, one that will grow each and every week as we add more songs to it. Our requirements are to first submit one NEW song released within the past month, and then one song released at any time. If those two criteria are satisfied, then we also get to include ONE SONG EACH from any band we may have seen live the past week. We’ll get the playlist updated on/around Sunday of each week.
