French melodic punks The Dead Krazukies have dropped a cover of the classic 80s track “Maniac”. The song is originally from the film and soundtrack for Flashdance (1983) and really owes its popularity to the accompanying 80's-centric erotic video from the film, which was popularized on MTV.
The Dead Krazukies apply their punk goodness, and some modern digital effects, to turn that eroticism up to 11? You be the judge.
The cover will feature on their upcoming album From the Underworld, which is due out 16 Jun 2023 via Kicking Records and SBÄM Records.
