Kenosha, Wisconsin’s skatepunk band The First Rule has released something like three versions of their song “Punk Rock Pool Party” so far: the original (of course), a version in German (why not?), “Punk Rock Christmas Tree” for the holidays in 2020 (sure thang). Now, the continue to get new life out of the music with their newest, “Punk Rock Halloween.” Now, don’t think that they’re just throwing a new verse over an old song. It definitely sounds like they’ve re-recorded the music or, at the very least, did a re-mix?
This is their first new music since 2022’s “Racists are Assholes” single, and I really wish they’d do more songs.
Listen below, and swing by their Bandcamp or Spotify for more.
