Who Will Meet Me at the Gates has joined the expanding universe of The Inevitables. “Good Grief” featuring a veritable punk rock supergroup featuring members of Pears, Less Than Jake, The Jeff Rosenstock Band, Big D and the Kids Table, and Westbound Train. The track will be featured on a self-titled acoustic EP dropping 13 November here.
The Inevitables are a supergroup made up of Vinnie Fiorello (Less Than Jake), Obi Fernandez (Westbound Train), Matt Appleton (Reel Big Fish), Billy Kottage (The Interrupters), John DeDomenici (Jeff Rosenstock, Bomb The Music Industry!), Alex Stern and Jon Degen (Big D And The Kids Table) and Sean-Paul Pillsworth (Nightmares For A Week). The Inevitables will drop their debut self-titled full-length 30 October, available here.
Initially conceived as a soundtrack album and comic book, The Inevitables has evolved into toys, art, and collectibles. The folk-punk band Who Will Meet Me at the Gates, appears in the first Inevitables comic book as a punk band playing at a club with the main characters in attendance.
Bad Dad (occasionally called Ed) has been on the periphery of the punk and punk-adjacent scene for over twenty years. While many contributors to this site have musical experience and talent, Ed’s musical claim to fame comes from his time in arguably the most punk rock Blockbuster Video district in NJ where he worked alongside members of Blanks 77, Best Hit TV and Brian Fallon. He is more than just an awful father to his 2 daughters, he is also a dreadful husband, a subpar writer, a terrible dresser and has a severe deficiency in all things talent… but hey, at least he’s self-aware, amirite?
