The Mars Volta just announced a massive career-spanning vinyl box set called La Realidad De Los Sueños. The collection includes every studio recording the band released from 2001-2012, as well as unreleased sessions from De-Loused In The Comatorium, a photo book, and two pins.
The Mars Volta last released Nocturniquet in 2012 and have officially been broken up since 2013, although vocalist Cedric Bixler-Zavala has previously hinted that a reunion album may be in the works.
This special edition set is limited to 5000 copies, and due out 23 Apr 2021. However, pre-orders on the nearly $500 box set have already sold out. If you’re still looking to buy, expect to pay a premium on the aftermarket soon after release.
