OK, wrap your head around this: DC ska/soul legends The Pietasters have released a new song, “Glimmer.” Except it’s not really their song. It’s written by former The Mighty Mighty Bosstones bassist Joe Gittleman, and will appear on his new solo album Hold Up, which is due out this Friday, 21 Jun 2024, via Bad Time Records.
So… did The Pietasters snake Joe’s song out from under him? Of course not. They’re good friends and this is obviously a well-crafted promotional opportunity, right! In fact, there’s more The Pietasters versions of Joe Gittleman songs in the works!
