The Punk Cellist (Ian Legge) has released a new pair of covers. For this go the multi-instrumentalist tackles two tracks from post-hardcore act Fiddleahead‘s most recent album Between the Richness (2021, Run for Cover Records).
The tracks are the one-two punch of album opener “Grief Motif” and then track number 2 “The Years.” So why did I say a triple play? Well, Ian starts out the video answering an oft-asked question: “What equipment does The Punk Cellist use?” Well, Ian has a lot of instruments to go through, so this takes a couple of minutes.
But if you don’t care for the specifics, and want to get to the performance, that’s OK! Just jump ahead to 2m28s in the video and you’ll be good to go.
