The Punk Cellist has been recovering from a broken collarbone (which TGEFM would like to imagine happened at some raging orchestra mosh pit… it’s not true, it happened during mountain biking, but it sounds cool). So we’re happy to see that Ian’s recovery is continuing apace, as he has released a new cello cover, this time of Low‘s 2003 track “Murderer”.
He’s also got a record on limited-edition vinyl out featuring covers of The Menzingers and Alkaline Trio, as well as a release show coming up on Saturday 18 Mar, with special guests Original Sharks, American Thrills, and Baby Got Back Talk. So if you’re in the Brooklyn area, head on down for a good time!

the white drew carey (aka – Jeff Sorley) is the founder and head editor of TGEFM. He’s lived (outside of) Chicago, Madison WI, (ugh) Penn State, Lyon FR, Oxford UK, central New Jersey, and now within earshot of SFO in the Bay Area. When not scouring the web for more great bands and labels to post about, he also spends time drawing (mostly) silly sci-fi and anime stuff under the name Asplenia Studios.
