Chicago-area punk/easycore act The Usuals have a new EP in the works, and have released the first single/video from the same. “Stain” comes off of the upcoming From the Valley to the Alley EP (full disclosure: under my other hat doing illustration as Asplenia Studios, I designed the cover for the EP). The new track and video come via a premiere from the noisy folk over at New Noise.
From the Valley to the Alley is the second of three planned EPs the band is working on, and is due out 28 Oct 2022 (preorders will start 07 Oct). The first EP in the series, Man Down, released in Nov 2021 and served as a tribute to bandmate and Chicago-area legend Steve Katzel who sadly passed away in 2020. The third EP, At the Gates of the Second City, is expected out in Feb 2023.
