Long-running (minus a brief hiatus) UK indie act The Wedding Present, essentially the David Gedge project with a rotating cast of musicians at this point, will be crossing the pond for the first time in years, continuing the celebration of the 35th anniversary of their sophomore LP Bizarro. The band will be in North America with a string of dates across the USA, and one in Toronto.
Bizarro was released 23 Oct 1989 via RCA Records, solidifying the early The Wedding Present sound.
The shows are in addition to the upcoming dates the band has in the UK this year and throughout 2025. See the tour poster below, and pick up tickets at the official website. Early access tickets are available using code BIZARRO35.
the white drew carey (aka – Jeff Sorley) is the founder and head editor of TGEFM. He’s lived (outside of) Chicago, Madison WI, (ugh) Penn State, Lyon FR, Oxford UK, central New Jersey, and now within earshot of SFO in the Bay Area. When not scouring the web for more great bands and labels to post about, he also spends time drawing (mostly) silly sci-fi and anime stuff under the name Asplenia Studios.
