The good people over at Dying Scene premiered the newest single and video from Washington DC punks American Television. The song is “Bittersweet,” and the band took a long route to get to this.
American Television was previously gearing up to release their new LP Scars via A-F Records. However, after the Anti-flag fallout, the band chose to go their own way, and have now landed on Smartpunk Records for the release of that album, due out 22 Sep 2023.
TGEFM contributor Jerred Lazar recently departed the band on good terms, having moved out of state, so while you hear him on the guitar, you get to see new guitarist Chris in action in the video, itself a testament to just how awful corporate work can be.
Preorders for the album and merch can be found at the Smartpunk store, and the AMTV Bandcamp. AMTV will also be out doing some gigging, and you can find info on those shows underneath the video.
