“Trickle Down” single out from Sprints

Irish noise rockers Sprints have released their first new music of 2026, and the first music since last September’s All That Is Over LP. “Trickle Down” is exactly what it sounds like it is about: the failed economic theory championed in the 80s which suggested that if we just don’t tax the mega-rich, they’ll spend money on things that create jobs and income for all classes below them.

We’ve seen how well that works out, and now Sprints have a thing to say about it, too. As the band explains:

“Trickle Down” is about watching systems fail in slow motion, housing crisis, rising costs, culture wars, climate collapse, and being told to stay patient. It’s the frustration of a generation stuck in “wait mode” while everything burns.

But Sprints, I’m sure all that money will come trickling down soon!
