Two Minutes to Late Night is prepared to continue to celebrate the spooky season with October’s Bedroom Covers. This week, members of Mastodon, Darkest Hour, Baroness, Kveletak and more have joined Gwarsenio Hall for a quarantine cover of Ozzy Osbourne‘s “Over The Mountain,” following up on last week’s Misfits cover. Two Minutes To Late Night is a heavy-metal themed talk show featuring Gwarsenio Hall, the corpse-painted host and his house band, Mutoid Man featuring Steve Brodsky of Cave In and Ben Koller of Converge.
This is the 25th installment in the Patreon supported “Bedroom Covers” where Hall and friends record metal covers. Previous covers have included unique takes on Bonnie Raitt, Rush, Rage Against the Machine and Billy Idol among others and can be found here.
Bad Dad (occasionally called Ed) has been on the periphery of the punk and punk-adjacent scene for over twenty years. While many contributors to this site have musical experience and talent, Ed’s musical claim to fame comes from his time in arguably the most punk rock Blockbuster Video district in NJ where he worked alongside members of Blanks 77, Best Hit TV and Brian Fallon. He is more than just an awful father to his 2 daughters, he is also a dreadful husband, a subpar writer, a terrible dresser and has a severe deficiency in all things talent… but hey, at least he’s self-aware, amirite?
