Montréal group The Fake Friends have released the first single from their upcoming Good Enough EP. The song is titled “Flower Crowns” and it is the lead track from that EP, which is due out 20 May 2022 via Stomp Records.
The band describe themselves as “MTL boys that like Hardcore and Disco whose music sounds like neither. featuring members of bands you’ve never heard of”, and I’d definitely place this particular track in the late-80s post-punk section if it were up to me.
The EP follows up the band’s first two singles, “Mile End” in March, and “Second Hand Sangria” which just dropped last Friday, 25 Apr 2022.
You can hear the new single below, and visit their Bandcamp page to pre-order the Good Enough EP (it IS good enough for us!), and hear those two previous singles.
