LA punks Stormhouse have joined the Wiretap Records family and will release a new EP this Fall. In anticipation of the new album, the band have dropped lead single “Crashing Waves” to whet listeners’ appetites.
According to the band:
“Crashing Waves” really dives into the emotional chaos of dealing with someone who just couldn’t figure out their feelings or communicate properly. Their thoughts would overwhelm them, like crashing waves, pulling them away from the relationship. Instead of getting caught up in their indecision, we wanted to channel that experience into a message of reclaiming strength and focusing on self-care. Stormhouse is honored to be a part of Wiretap Records! We’ve been on a few compilations and we’re excited to take our music journey to the next level with y’all.”
Bad Dad (occasionally called Ed) has been on the periphery of the punk and punk-adjacent scene for over twenty years. While many contributors to this site have musical experience and talent, Ed’s musical claim to fame comes from his time in arguably the most punk rock Blockbuster Video district in NJ where he worked alongside members of Blanks 77, Best Hit TV and Brian Fallon. He is more than just an awful father to his 2 daughters, he is also a dreadful husband, a subpar writer, a terrible dresser and has a severe deficiency in all things talent… but hey, at least he’s self-aware, amirite?
