Today is Bandcamp Day (I don’t know what else to call it) wherein Bandcamp waives their fees, and the artist or label gets all of the profits.
Well, the good people at Wiretap Records will be donating 100% of the profits they make today to the Equal Justice Initiative. EJI is a non-profit that provides legal representation in Alabama to persons who have been wrongly convicted, poorly represented, and others.
All the more reason to check out Wiretap‘s lineup over at Bandcamp today. They’ve got a slew of awesome bands to check out. If you don’t like music, you can donate to the EJI directly here.
the white drew carey (aka – Jeff Sorley) is the founder and head editor of TGEFM. He’s lived (outside of) Chicago, Madison WI, (ugh) Penn State, Lyon FR, Oxford UK, central New Jersey, and now within earshot of SFO in the Bay Area. When not scouring the web for more great bands and labels to post about, he also spends time drawing (mostly) silly sci-fi and anime stuff under the name Asplenia Studios.
