Hardcore/thrash crossover xIron Sharpens Ironx, the sometimes solo project and sometimes full band project, has released a new cover of the Deftones song “Engine No. 9”. That song originally features on the bands 1995 album Adrenaline and, for this cover, it is xLarryx going solo and covering all instruments (talented, eh?).
Check out the single below, and head over to Bandcamp for the cover, or if you want to grab a copy of the band’s Aftermath of Tragedy EP, OR to check out their Terror, Hatebreed and Minor Threat covers.
the white drew carey (aka – Jeff Sorley) is the founder and head editor of TGEFM. He’s lived (outside of) Chicago, Madison WI, (ugh) Penn State, Lyon FR, Oxford UK, central New Jersey, the SF/Bay Area, and now the Twin Cities. When not scouring the web for more great bands and labels to post about, he also spends time drawing (mostly) silly sci-fi and anime stuff under the name Asplenia Studios.
