NYC duo chort, which my autocorrect is totally fighting me on, have announced their debut EP with their first single “Arrives.” The EP is titled Visits, and is due out 10 May 2024.
“Arrives” is about a party guest who never actually arrives to the garden party, but walks right by the group and heads straight home. There's a feeling that something's right over your shoulder, even in the bright spring afternoon, the feeling of being unwelcome at a party you've been invited to, that everyone's partying on borrowed time anyway. Patterns of Alienation, Milan Kudera, and self compassion.
