Long Island indie-punk act Playing Dead release their first new music of 2026 with “Every Part of Youth.” The single comes after their Aug 2025 EP Too Far From Me, and this April’s Jason Griff-helmed remix of the band’s Jan 2025 single “Superwayne.”

the white drew carey (aka – Jeff Sorley) is the founder and head editor of TGEFM. He’s lived (outside of) Chicago, Madison WI, (ugh) Penn State, Lyon FR, Oxford UK, central New Jersey, the SF/Bay Area, and now the Twin Cities. When not scouring the web for more great bands and labels to post about, he also spends time drawing (mostly) silly sci-fi and anime stuff under the name Asplenia Studios.
