Premiere: We’ve got the new Lace’s Out single and video “Ipkiss Please”

When an email came into my mailbox earlier this month about the new single and upcoming album from New York state trio , I didn't know what to expect. But I was quickly won over by the band's eerily accurate channelling of the 90's post-hardcore sound. I reached to learn more and, now, TGEFM is stoked to premiere “Ipkiss Please”, the newest single and video from their upcoming album.

Guitarist/vocalist Ed Ciarfella explains the meaning behind the song and music video:

“Ipkiss Please” is about this hard-wired need for gain and ambition that humans seem to struggle and be plagued with. Using that urge in a positive or negative way is a choice that we must make. The ballerina in the video seemingly works at a local dance studio but has dreams and ambitions of performing on the big stage.

“Ipkiss Please” is the second single released from their upcoming album Here at the Ashram, after the announcement single “Kick and Scream”. Ed also sat in the director's chair for the video, with Andrew Kotkin on camera and and Andrew J Romulo editing. Audrey Eremin performed in the roll of The Dancer.

The new album, which is due out 18 Nov via , comes hot on the heels of their July Roger Podacter EP. Physical copies can be pre-ordered here while digital copies can be pre-ordered over at Bandcamp.
